OPNFV is the world's most influential open-source organization in the NFV field. Its contribution to telecom network transformation is widely recognized by companies in the industry.
Huawei has built
interconnected Cloud Open Labs in different locations to cooperate with hundreds
of partners and promote carriers' digital transformation.
OPNFV has 55
member companies, owns 12 pharos community labs, and cooperates with 9 upstream
communities.

Forrest Lee,
director of Huawei OPNFV open source development team, gave a speech called "OPNFV:
A Carrier-Class Open-Source Reference Platform". He described how to
ensure carrier-class reliability using the OPNFV platform, as well as Huawei's
plan and strategy as a member of the OPNFV community. He also revealed that Huawei
is ahead in open source communities.
The third version
of OPNFV will release in September 2016 and OPNFV will hold
the Second Plugfest Summit in December 2016 at the interoperability laboratory
in the University of New Hampshire in the United States. In addition, the Third
OPNFV Summit will be held in June 2017 in Beijing.
